I LOVE Wonky Blocks!

Thanks for choosing a wonky block! I have never done one before and it's so great to not have "rules". The tutorial on Quilt Dad is awesome and very easy to follow. I did find that having a very hot, steamy iron close by is helpful. I pressed after each addition and it went really smoothly. My sewing machine even cooperated! (somewhat) 8P

The fabric I used was Nicey Jane by Heather Bailey with one little smidge of Michael Miller (I think!)

This will get into the mail on Tuesday. Have a great weekend!

I'm so glad you like it, Iva! I had a ton of fun with it. These fabrics are awesome. I'll definitely be buying more Heather Bailey!! This is the first time I had purchased a jelly roll. There is so much fabric in that little thing! ;)

Carmen, if you like 'no rules' kind of quilting you might want to check out tallgrassprairiestudio.blogspot.com for ideas and resources. Jaquie does some really fascinating improv projects.

Oh yes! Jaquie is quite an inspiration!! Seeing her quilts is what actually sparked me into dusting off the ol' machine a few months back.

Ashley over at www.filminthefridge.com does great work; new to me are the quilt backs with a spark of detail. Gorgeous!
