Recycled Quilt Center

Alrighty, since I haven't heard any objections I'm going to put this quilt back into the game. I started this quilt top center for another charity round robin last year. Unfortunately, that round robin had a bit of a hiccup and it was returned to me last month unfinished. I believe that one, maybe two other people got a chance to work on this quilt top. At least I got it back.

I would love to throw it back into circulation and return this back to it's original purpose, a round robin charity quilt. My original center started with this...

I'm also going to throw in extra fabric in the mix. You don't have to use it at all. I just already had it packaged up to go with the original center.

I don't have any other rules or guidelines. I just want you all to have fun and let your creative juices flow. I'm good getting it back at any size. I just can't wait to get it into the hands of someone who needs it. I can't wait to get started on all of yours!

my starter block

Here is my starter block Ladies!
I know, I know...a bit off the wall.  I used this type of flower in a recent quilt I made and this was my trial and error flower.  My daughter thinks it looks like a lighthouse...so obviously, im pretty hard to offend!

I am really influenced by Gwen Marston, Sarah Fielke and Jean Wells.  I would love to see more interpretations of your flowers on this quilt...any flower at all.

I prefer modern fabrics or solids.
I would like for everyone to sign a siggie block that I can encorporate into my label.  Maybe if you could just use a piece of fabric that you use in your section of the quilt...sign it and date it...and maybe your city/state and have that travel along with the quilt.

Christy's Center

I am not sure if we are supposed to post these yet, but here is my center block.  I don't care what colors people use.  I would like it to have a vintage feel.  I love the 30's prints.  Also is there a list of everyone's addresses?  I am not sure I have it if there is.  I am looking forward to starting.  I have not participated in a round robin before.

Let's Do It!

Is everyone on board for the Round Robin?
Do you think we can still get a ship by date of the end of February so we can start working on each others projects by the beginning of March?

Let's say we ship out a center medallion between 16" and 24".  Feel free to send out an idea of where you would like to see the quilt go.  Maybe a travel journal that can document who worked on your quilt and why they added what they did.  Also, if you would like to have an autograph/siggie block to add to the block mention that too.

Let's sew from our own stash.

I'll propose a shipping order of:

Christy
Hollie
Jenny
Marie
Melissa
Patty

simply ship to the person under you in the list.  Patty ships to Christy.

Does that shipping order need to be tweaked?
Do we need to set a size minimum and maximum to the round you sew to a medallion? 4" to 8"???
Let's discuss!!
