Anyway, I must say your constant measurement checks did the trick for me. My block measures right at 18 inches...maybe a hair bigger...but I noticed at the point I was to measure 15 in square...I sewed on the first 2 inch strip to realize I did NOT measure 15 inches!! So that may be the key for me!! Constant measure checks!
Also, I apologize but I was not able to avoid 2 same fabrics touching...

Oh and I believe the ornament (and most of the fabrics) are Basic Gray by Moda's current Christmas line. A couple are last years, but not the ornament. And a few fabrics are Mark Lipinski's current Christmas line. And the John Deere is it's own thing of course.
We've been working up shop samples from Basic Gray's Christmas line. It's called Fruitcake, and it is just gorgeous! We brought in several pieces as well as the Grunge fabrics that compliment it. A fun line!
