Meet Leisel

Where do you live?
Twin Falls, Idaho (We have been here for about 2 years, before that Las Vegas, before that Olathe, Kansas, before that Rexburg, Idaho, before that Jackson, Wyoming and I was born in Kalispell, Wyoming.  Wow!  I don't feel old enough to have lived that many different places. . .)

Do you have any hidden talents?
None that I can think of. . . how sad!  I guess I am going to have to learn some neat little trick so that I DO have a hidden talent. . .

Name two things you consider yourself to be pretty good at.
Ummmm, sewing is the only thing I can think of.  I'm working on everything else!

Name two things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
I can't cook-- AT ALL!!!  My poor, poor family. . .
I also need a LOT more patience.  Something I try to work on daily!

Do you have any siblings? What are they like?
I have two sisters, both younger.  They both have one little boy and live in Utah.  One is a voracious reader and the other an athlete.  We love getting together to play board games.

Have you ever won a trophy?
I think I recieved a few fair ribbons in 4-H.  And I lettered in several sports in high school, but I can't remember any trophies.  But then, my memory is not that great. . .

Name one thing that not many people know about you?
You wouldn't know it now, but I was a pretty good athlete in high school.  I ran long distance and did well for our cross country and track teams.

Also, my name comes from the Sound of Music-- you know, the 'Sixteen Going on Seventeen' girl?

What is your earliest memory?
I remember standing on the front porch of our home in Montana when I was very little, watching the train pass our house.  According to my mom, we watched the train pass every evening and I would always wave.

What was your favorite musical group when you were in Junior High?Do I have to answer this question?  Okay, okay. . . Britney Spears and the Back Street Boys.  I know, I know. . . what can I say?  And that was actually in high school-- I listened to the Sound of Music and Grease soundtracks before that.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
For a long while I wanted to be a second grade teacher.  I loved my own second grade teacher so much!!!

What are you passionate about? The Gospel of Jesus Christ, my family and sewing.

Who is the person you respect the most and why? This is a tricky one. . . I guess I would have to say Jesus Christ.  It really needs no more explanation than that. . .

What outdoor activities to you like?I am not so much of an outdoors-y type of girl. . . I would rather be up in my sewing room!  (Hee, hee!)  But I do enjoy reading a good book in the sunshine or watching my little girls play a soccer game.  And I still have great memories of picking huckleberries as a kid up in the mountains. . .

If your house was on fire and you could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be?
My biggest phobia is having my house on fire-- I still remember my nightmares about it as a kid.  If I could make sure my three little girlies and my hubby were safe, I would be more than happy.

What is your most favorite place on earth?
With my little family!  Wherever that might be. . . (although, I DO NOT like the cold. . . the warmer the climate, the better!)

Leisel, this is all so sweet. I'm sorry I wasn't more clear with the instructions on who should write this up. Forgive me! And btw, you must be VERY young. I think Britney didn't come on the scene until I was well into college.
