Just in, shocking news from the North Pole... Rudolph announces his retirement. Yep, Ol' Ruddie is hanging up his antlers, and turning off his nose... Santa confirms the rumors that he's going green, John Deere green that is! "Everyone must do their part." says the jolly old man," besides, Mrs. Claus can't stop staring... She thinks my tractor's ho ho... Hot!"
Hope you like your block Missy, will be in the mail on Monday... :^)

John Deere Christmas
Another block for Melissa. It turned out cute. I wasn't real sure when I saw the variety of fabric, but once again it all works out.

Melissa’s Block
Melissa, here is your block. It will go out tomorrow. The “John Deere” fabric is such a cute accent piece.
Hope everyone had a wonderful, safe Independence Day celebration!

Merry Christmas block
Hi Melissa...got your block done this weekend. It was fun, and I think I like that ornament fabric a little too much...you know what that means...probably that it is out of print!! Ha Ha!
Anyway, I must say your constant measurement checks did the trick for me. My block measures right at 18 inches...maybe a hair bigger...but I noticed at the point I was to measure 15 in square...I sewed on the first 2 inch strip to realize I did NOT measure 15 inches!! So that may be the key for me!! Constant measure checks!
Also, I apologize but I was not able to avoid 2 same fabrics touching...
Hope this is OK!!

Melissa's Block
Here is Melissa's block- Very fast and easy block to do. Thanks for the great directions Melissa. I wasn't very tired tonight so I wanted to get this done. Betcha can't believe that I have something done early- Ha Ha!
Just wanted to add my 2 cents about the 1/4 seams- I have a 1/4" foot for my sewing machine- Works great!! I am also in a quilt group that gets together once a month and my teacher is always double checking and making me rip things out if they don't come out just right. I really hate ripping but glad she makes me do it right, the blocks just look so much better that way! I have learned alot about measuring and taking my time at the sewing machine and my projects always look alot better too!
Happy 4th of July everyone!!
